Our service is designed to support people who may be experiencing behaviours that impact everyday life — whether at home, school, or in the community — in a respectful, compassionate, and person-centred way.
Our experienced practitioners work closely with you, your family, and your support network to understand the reasons behind behaviours and to develop practical, tailored strategies that build confidence, strengthen relationships, and support greater independence.
This service can be particularly helpful for people with autism, or those with intellectual, learning, developmental, or social support needs.
If you’re aged 7 or over and have NDIS funding under “Improved Relationships” within your Capacity Building supports, you may be eligible for this service.
We’ll start by learning all about you – what you enjoy, what you find challenging, and how you respond in different situations. This involves chatting with you, observing behaviours, and gathering insights from those who know you well.
Next, we’ll sit down with you, your family, and support team to decide on some clear, meaningful goals. These goals will guide us and help track progress along the way.
We’ll develop positive and practical strategies that are tailored just for you. Rather than focusing on “fixing” behaviours, we’ll work on building new skills and encouraging helpful habits that make life easier and more enjoyable.
We’ll outline exactly how and when your support will happen; what strategies we’ll use, who will be involved, and how everyone can play a part. It’s all about working together and making sure your voice is heard.
We’ll provide training and guidance to your family, carers, and professionals so they feel confident and supported in putting the plan into action.
We’ll keep an eye on how things are going and make adjustments when needed. Life changes, and your plan should change with it to stay helpful and relevant.
Finally, we’ll help build a supportive and encouraging space where you feel understood, respected, and included – because everyone deserves to thrive.
Behaviour is a form of communication. Our role is to understand what’s behind it, so we can support people in ways that feel safe, respectful, and empowering – not just for them, but for those around them too.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Royal Rehab acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future and we extend our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples.
