Positive behaviour support

Positive behaviour support is all about helping you live a more fulfilling and empowered life.

Our Positive Behaviour Support service is designed to support individuals in understanding and navigating behaviours that may be impacting daily life—at home, at school, or in the community—in a respectful and compassionate way.

Our practitioners work closely with you, your family, and your support network to explore the underlying reasons behind behaviours and develop practical, personalised strategies that promote confidence, connection, and a greater sense of control.

This support can be especially beneficial for people with autism, or those with intellectual, learning, developmental, or social support needs.

If you’re aged 7 or over and have NDIS funding under “Improved Relationships” in your Capacity Building supports, you may be eligible for this service.

What to expect

We will get to know you

We’ll start by learning all about you – what you enjoy, what you find challenging, and how you respond in different situations. This involves chatting with you, observing behaviours, and gathering insights from those who know you well.

Set clear goals together

Next, we’ll sit down with you, your family, and support team to decide on some clear, meaningful goals. These goals will guide us and help track progress along the way.

Create a personalised support plan

We’ll develop positive and practical strategies that are tailored just for you. Rather than focusing on “fixing” behaviours, we’ll work on building new skills and encouraging helpful habits that make life easier and more enjoyable.

Plan your support

We’ll outline exactly how and when your support will happen; what strategies we’ll use, who will be involved, and how everyone can play a part. It’s all about working together and making sure your voice is heard.

Equip your team

We’ll provide training and guidance to your family, carers, and professionals so they feel confident and supported in putting the plan into action.

Check in and tweak as needed

We’ll keep an eye on how things are going and make adjustments when needed. Life changes, and your plan should change with it to stay helpful and relevant.

Create a positive environment

Finally, we’ll help build a supportive and encouraging space where you feel understood, respected, and included – because everyone deserves to thrive.

NDIS Funding

Behaviour is a form of communication. My role isn’t to ‘fix’ someone — it’s to understand their needs, work with their strengths, and support them in ways that make everyday life feel safer, calmer, and more in their control.
