Regaining strength and function
After a significant injury, illness, or surgery, the absence of timely rehabilitation exercises can lead to a decline in fitness, strength, endurance, and overall health. This condition, known as “deconditioning,” heightens the risk of falls, hampers mobility, and increases dependence on others.
Exercise Physiology is a specialised field that utilises physical activity and exercise to enhance your well-being, alleviate discomfort, and facilitate a smoother recovery post-injury, illness, or surgery.
At Royal Rehab LifeWorks Ryde, our exercise physiologist tailors a personalised exercise regimen for you. This includes not only targeted physical activities but also guidance on cultivating healthy habits, ensuring you remain as fit, robust, and vibrant as possible.
During your therapy, you will be doing a variety of exercises that are tailored just for you. This will include a mix of cardio, strength training, and using equipment and technology in our special gym. We will also give you safe exercises that you can do at home so you can keep up with your progress.
