Our home modifications service is suitable for anyone who experiences challenges with accessing and using any area of their home safely because of their disability, injury, or changing health needs.
We work closely with you to understand your daily routines and recommend practical changes that support better safety and independence with everyday activities such as bathing, dressing, cooking, and moving around your home. Every modification is tailored to help you live more confidently and comfortably in your own space.
This service is provided in the comfort of your home by our mobile allied health team.
Your occupational therapist will conduct a thorough review of your home to identify areas that may benefit from modification. They will then arrange a joint visit with a qualified builder. Together, they will work with you to explore feasible modifications and ensure proposed changes align with your personal needs and goals.
Your occupational therapist will provide recommendations for the required home modifications, including preparing drawings and detailed reports to support applications to relevant funding bodies.
Home should be a place of comfort, not challenge. Our role is to make everyday living safer and more accessible – whether that’s through small adjustments or major modifications. It’s about creating environments where people can move freely, do more for themselves, and feel confident in their own space.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Royal Rehab acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community.
