Alfred is a passionate Speech Pathologist dedicated to helping individuals find or regain their voice and enjoy mealtimes safely. A food lover himself, he understands the importance of mealtimes in bringing people together and is committed to supporting those with swallowing difficulties to build confidence and independence.
With an Honours degree in Speech Pathology, Alfred has experience managing communication and swallowing disorders across a variety of settings, including acute hospital care, rehabilitation, community health, university clinics, and private practice. He is particularly passionate about neurological rehabilitation and works with individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions.
Alfred also has a strong interest in voice and upper airway therapy and completed Honours research in voice diagnostics to improve assessment reliability and care outcomes. He is a Certified SPEAK OUT!® Provider, delivering evidence-based voice therapy for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and some atypical Parkinsonian syndromes.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Alfred values providing care that is respectful and responsive to the needs of the individuals and families he supports. As a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia, he is committed to continuous learning, collaboration, and delivering high-quality care.
