Amanda is a Senior Speech Pathologist and Clinical Lead at Royal Rehab LifeWorks Brisbane. She works with adults across community, hospital, and aged care settings, supporting clients funded through Home Care Packages and the NDIS.
Amanda has experience working with a range of communication and swallowing conditions including dysphagia, dysarthria, aphasia, apraxia of speech, degenerative neurological conditions, and augmentative and alternative communication. She has a particular interest in supporting people following stroke and those living with progressive neurological conditions.
Alongside her clinical work, Amanda has contributed to several quality improvement initiatives. This includes developing an online training package to support aged care staff in safely feeding residents with dysphagia and complex needs.
Amanda is a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia, an accredited SPEAK OUT! Therapy for Parkinson’s clinician, and a member of the IDDSI Academy. She is passionate about improving clients’ quality of life and strengthening the Speech Pathology service to support people to communicate, eat, and participate more fully in everyday life.
