Peter is a dedicated Speech Pathologist with broad experience supporting people across the lifespan. He has worked in community disability across homes, schools, day programs, and the wider community, as well as in aged care. With a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Canada, he combines strong clinical knowledge with a practical, person- and family-centred approach.
Peter is a versatile speech pathologist who works across many areas of practice, supporting people aged five and above with a wide range of needs and abilities. He has extensive experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, intellectual disability, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. His work includes helping with swallowing and mealtime management, speech and language development, social skills and relationship building, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and complex communication needs, voice disorders, and literacy and learning challenges. Above all, Peter focuses on helping people feel more confident and engaged in everyday life.
What sets Peter apart is his passion for client- and family-centred care. He believes therapy should be creative, meaningful, and guided by each person’s goals, whether that’s enjoying a favourite meal, connecting with friends, or engaging fully in their community. His enthusiasm for speech pathology and commitment to empowering others is truly contagious.
Outside of work, Peter proudly embraces his Canadian roots as an avid ice hockey fan and enjoys playing guitar and singing (poorly) in his spare time. When you work with Peter, you’re choosing not only his skills and experience but also his genuine passion for making a difference in people’s lives.
