Neuro Dance Therapy supports movement, coordination, and independence for people living with Parkinson’s Disease, post-stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, or dementia. Led by a physiotherapist, sessions combine music and movement to support functional outcomes in an engaging and supportive environment.
Important information: Carers are required to attend and provide supervision for participants who are not independent
Neuro Dance Therapy may benefit people who are experiencing:
• Changes in balance or coordination
• Reduced mobility or slowed movement
• Difficulty with functional movement or daily activities
• Reduced confidence in movement
• Changes in rhythm, timing, or motor control
Sessions are led by a physiotherapist with experience in neurological conditions
Participation is tailored to individual ability and comfort
Supports timing, coordination, and motor control
Designed to support everyday movement and independence
Encourages engagement, motivation, and social connection
Incorporates memory and cognitive tasks within movement activities to support overall function
