Join us for Clinical Workshop covering the use of Electrical Stimulation (E-stim) for neurological upper and lower limb rehab.

About this event

This clinical workshop is designed to provide physiotherapists and occupational therapists with comprehensive insights into the effective utilisation of Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim) for neurological rehabilitation.

If possible, please bring your own e-Stim device and electrodes: 5×9 and 5x5cm.

The workshop will cover the following key objectives:

  • Current E-Stim Practices at Royal Rehab: Gain a thorough understanding of the E-Stim techniques currently employed in clinical practice at Royal Rehab.
  • Foundations of Electrical Stimulation: Delve into the fundamentals of Electrical Stimulation, encompassing terminology, parameters, applications, indications, and contra-indications.
  • Integration of E-Stim into Neurological Therapy Programs: Learn how E-Stim can be seamlessly integrated into therapy programs for neurological injuries, effectively complementing both traditional and robotic therapies.
  • Implementing an E-Stim Program: Explore the practical aspects of implementing an E-Stim program, ensuring seamless incorporation into rehabilitation strategies.
  • Tailoring E-Stim for Specific Goals: Understand how different E-Stim devices can be tailored to support distinct goals within a therapy program, optimising outcomes for patients.
  • Evidence-Based Application of E-Stim: Gain insights into the research and evidence supporting the application of E-Stim for neurological injuries, providing a solid foundation for its clinical use.
